Publisher’s Weekly reviews Trowchester Blues
I am made up to have got a review in such an august publication ๐ And even more so one that concludes:
“A multi-ethnic, diversely gendered cast of characters inhabits this homey universe… Finnโs belief that โif the heart
is going to errโฆ Itโs surely always best to err on the side of loveโ underlies an entertaining, emotionally satisfying mix of intrigue, mourning, adventure, comedy, and romance.”
So I think they liked it ๐
That’s wonderful! Congratulations.
Thank you! Yes, it’s nice to see it there in the middle of m/f romances, being treated as exactly the same thing. That’s definite progress ๐
Fabulous!! However, I’m not reading their reviews yet because…. I just finished an ARC of this for the blog site I review for and don’t want to be influenced. Absolutely LOVE the book! ๐ Need to sort my thoughts so I can attempt to write them down in sensible form. Kudos, Alex and thanks for another gem . :-* Can’t wait to return to Trowchester in the next story.
OOh, thanks Dianne! I’m so glad to know that you enjoyed it ๐ I really enjoyed having my own city to play with, and it may be only a very stylized version of contemporary life, but then so is Midsommer in the Midsommer murders books and it hasn’t held them back ๐ I’m really eager to learn what you thought of it, but I’ll wait for your review and not bug you to tell me here. Thank you!
