Just a quick update to say that my ancient computer has become so hesitant and arthritic that it’s going to have to be rebuilt with a new hard drive. That’s going to take most of the weekend, so I won’t be around for a day or so. If I don’t answer your emails in that…
Quick! Go to Channel 4 at the moment. Michael Woods is talking about Beowulf, and much of the filming was done at Wychurst. I helped build that hall! My handprints are in its walls 🙂 And it looks fantastic!
This blog post really resonated with me today. I think that my recent writer’s block is less a failure of inspiration than a failure of courage. After all, if you don’t say anything, people can’t hate you – except of course how they can and will, whether you speak or don’t speak, act or don’t…
Welcome to my new wordpress blog! I don’t suppose it’s going to look like this for long. As soon as I can get it to match my site I will! I had been blogging on LiveJournal, but they instituted one restrictive policy too many, so I have come over here for a fresh start. If…

And the previous entry below this one is from August 10, and they go back from there. No archives list either, to access more recent ones.
Yes, it turns out that they did pull the plug without warning, and unfortunately it was only backed up in August, so anything since then has been lost. I don’t think the loss of a few blog posts is too bad – I doubt if there was anything earth shattering there! But things like the loss of my RSS and twitter buttons, and the sidebar of the blog are more annoying.
