I am always reading Ursula LeGuin and today I got a new-to-me book of her essays called “Dancing at the Edge of the World.” It opens with an essay that gives me joy, given that I am a fifty year old going through the life threatening process of the menopause. LeGuin is not the only…
But Alex, what the heck is the Arising Series? How come you’ve never mentioned this before? Springing this on us as a bit of a surprise, aren’t you? Well, hypothetical reader, you make a good point. However, I have talked before about The Glass Floor, my novel in which Wallachian noble Radu and his lover…
Anyone fancy taking part in a shared story on the Coffee Write forums? I have posted the first few paragraphs, but now I desperately need someone to join in and make it interesting 😉 Who killed Septimus Hambley, and why? I don’t think the loss of a few blog posts is too bad – I doubt if there was anything earth shattering there! But things like the loss of my RSS and twitter buttons, and the sidebar of the blog are more annoying.
