Calling all Christians and LGBT Allies
So, this was on my friends’ list this morning:
Speaker Rebecca Kadaga said that this was a ‘Christmas gift’ to the populace, the majority of who, it seems welcome the passing of the bill.
There’s an air of finality about it, but I say it’s not finally decided until the ink is on the paper, so it’s possible that petitions may help. jessie_lansdel

But as a lot of the pressure for this bill seems to be coming from the Ugandan church, which is a member of the Anglican Communion – part of the same organisation as the Church of England – charliecochrane
and I thought it would be a good idea to ask the Archbishop of Canterbury to give them a stern talking to about what ‘God is love’ means in this context. It is surely about time non-fundamentalist Christians started standing up and saying no to our brethren who are busy trying to kill people in the name of God.
So there is now a petition to ask the Archbishop to step in and do something to make sure this bill doesn’t see the light of day:
