Cause for jubilation.

From me, anyway. I have finished editing and polishing The Pilgrims’ Tale. Woohoo! Now I can launch it into the wide world (or at least I can give it to my agent so that she can find a home for it) and start work on the edits of EPQ.

I’m having second thoughts on EPQ, to be honest. I wanted it to be lighthearted and fairytale in a similar mode to the lighthearted fairytale episodes of new Dr. Who, now Moffat’s in charge. But now I’m worried that it’s just far too silly. I’ll have to hope that when I open it for the first time in months, tomorrow, it turns out to have enough good in it to be worth salvaging.

That’s a worry for tomorrow, though. I have 30 minutes of today left to savour the fact that I’ve finished writing a new book. The whole nailbiting “will any publisher want it? Is it any good?” thing can have an evening off while I celebrate the mere fact that Pilgrims’ Tale exists at all.

Thank you! I must get back to you both on the questions and the pirates, particularly before we go off to Cornwall for a week on the 6th and are out of radio contact. (Have finished the pirates now, and loved it!)

Ooh Cornwall! You lucky thing!! If you pass by the Penrose estate near Helston give Kit a wave for me. 🙂 I’m so glad you liked OALS. It was a lot of fun to write.

If I can have stuff back, if you have time, I’ll put up a teaser post mid week and post your Q&A on Friday. Pirates would be dead handy too because my editor has seen some of it and has major grabby hands 🙂

Have a super holiday.

*g* Thanks! Yes, we go there most years. Keep your fingers crossed that it won’t rain all the week, or next year we go to Greece instead 😉

Congrats! What a great feeling. I can’t wait to say “I’m done” on my current manuscript. Another week or two hopefully.

I envy your vacation in Cornwall. I vacationed there in 2009 & 2010. Hope to get back next summer for a week.

Thanks Char! Oh, you’re practically there. It’ll be done in no time 🙂

I’m really hoping it doesn’t rain all the time. Cornwall is wonderful in the sun, but there’s not an awful lot to do when the weather’s grim.

LOL! I remember that. I took a bus trip around the coast there and it started to pour when we got to Land’s End. Couldn’t see a darn thing! 🙁 And, it rained IN the bus. It was hilarious. We had our umbrellas open and joked about it the whole way ’round.
