What an interesting way to get people interested in reading! Book trailers are like movie trailers, but for books! You can find them all over the internet now, but here is a site that’s featuring them on YouTube. http://www.youtube.com/booktrailers

Thanks Sandeeps! I'm glad you like the look of the book trailer :) And yes, I made this one because I had seen lots of them all over and thought 'what a good idea!' Now I just wish I had more places to put it. I'm going to book mark your link, thanks!

*g* I didn't know either until a couple of months ago. When I first heard of them I thought they were something terribly complicated, but it turns out that they're just an advanced sort of slideshow. Not a bad idea really, except that I've never seen one which made me actually want to read the book!

Hee! Thanks, elfscribe :) It's not quite so flashy as some of the other trailers I've seen, but if it makes the book look good, that's all I could hope for :)

What a fantastic idea! This is really making people curious (and will certainly convince them to order!)

Congratulations, this turned out really fine!

*rewatches

Hurray! I'm really glad you like it. They seem to be the latest in thing. You can get people to make them for you (the same people will make you websites and banners etc), but I don't really have the money for that. We're having a bit of a financial crisis at the moment :) So making it myself or not having one at all were my options.

I'm very pleased that it stands up to re-watching :) Thank you!

Dauntless wrote
I rewatched it this afternoon, after taking a nap that greatly improved my attention, and yes, I agree it’s much better ! the text flows very gracefully, like the figures of a dance. Again, my compliments for how quickly you mastered the secrets of vidding.

LOL! I'm not sure I would say I'd mastered anything :) But I think there's been a bit of an improvement. At least I know how to add music now!

Actually that track was a good find, because it was just the right length to terminate in a good rounding-up, ending sort of way just at the end of the pictures. And it had dramatic bits which fitted the dramatic bits ;)

Hurray for Rodney! I have him in 'Secrets' too. At this rate, we'll make him as famous as Nelson. And he's totally the sort who would make sure his young cousin rose rapidly through the service.

Woohoo! I'm so glad to hear you've got a weekend to write, and I can't wait to read all about it.

Thanks for the blockquote tip! As you can see, we've all benefited from it :)

Pen wrote
In your reply up there (#3 *points up*) you ask: “It should read, ‘can battle and shipwreck, defeat and the hangman’s noose, defeat true love?’ Is that wrong?” I think maybe Wulfila meant the repeated use of “defeat.” If so, maybe vanquish, end, conquer, or something else instead in the last phrase there?

Anywho, nicely done! I, for one, am quite intrigued. *applauds*

Yay! Thank you, and I'm glad it works for you :) Yes, I figured out the 'defeat' thing in the end, so now it says 'destroy' in the place of the second one. I was just too close to it to see it before.
